two stage with integrated dischrage-interstage cooling Two stage rotary lobe blowers range MODULA are compact systems based on the bare stages of ATMOS with horizontal gasflow. Due to the designed adapter casting where the two stages are mounted the stages can be operated in serious and or parallel. This provides a bigger capacity when operating parallel or higher pressure or vacuum, when operating in serious.
Rotary lobe vacuum pumps range MODULA, twin lobe type with patented discharge system These compact Roots blowers belong to the group of dry running positive displacement pumps. This means that there is no need for oil or grease in the compression chamber. Only gear box and bearings that are separated from the pumping chamber are oil lubricated. Two non contacting twin lobe Roots rotors rotate against each other in the compression room. The patented discharge system avoid pulsation problems and simultaneously minimize back flow from discharge. This results in less power requirement, higher compression ratios and a wider turn down range of the blower! Air or gas mixtures are transported in by the movement of the rotors, flow into the housing and are conveyed to the pressure side of the blower, where they are compressed against the connected pipe or system.
Also there is a possibility to run independent one stage in vacuum- the second stage in pressure mode! By means of integrated valves the mode of operation can be switched from running in serious as well as in parallel for individual parts of processes. So you can achieve most efficient layout for various processdemands with one compact system!

These compact systems are multistage vacuumsystems consisting of dryrunning vacuum screw pumps STRATOS and roots pumps ATMOS Var 0108. These systems are combining the advantages of the dryrunning screws with the high capacity of the rootspumps. Main applications are evacuation of vacuum vessels in industrial and chemical processes as well as degassing and drying of plastic pellets in extrusion processes. |
